Shipping Preparation
Do's
- Include all outdated
products including fulls AND partials
- Line the shipping
containers with a plastic liner or garbage bag to prevent leakage
- Wrap all breakables
(glass bottles, vials, etc.) in bubble wrap or newspaper
- Place unit dose
items in plastic bags by product
- Use boxes in new
or "like new" condition and remove any old labels to ensure
safe transit
- If the shipping
box is not full, use additional packing material to "top off"
the box to prevent crushing during transit
- Complete a new
facility information form or call Pharma Logisticsâ if you have recently
changed wholesalers
Shipping Preparation
Don'ts
- Do not pack contents
with Styrofoam packing "peanuts". These packing peanuts shift
during transit and result in breakage
- Do not package
breakable items without adequate packing material on all sides of the
shipping container
Schedule II Do's
- Submit the DEA
222 Request Form at least 2 weeks prior to shipping your other legend
items. We ask that you take this step to insure ALL of your products
are processed as one job
- Ship products as
soon as you receive your DEA 222 Forms. Your 222 Forms are only valid
for 60 days
- Place all of your
C-II items in the tamper proof bags prior to shipment. Please try to
keep all C-II items listed on the 222 Form in the same tamper proof
bag.
Schedule II Don'ts
- Do not ship any
C-II products until you have received and completed a DEA Form 222 from
Pharma Logisticsâ
- Do not send C-II
products that are not listed on the DEA Form 222's.
Schedule III-V
Do's
- Put only Scheduled
III-V products in the tamper proof bag designated for your III-V items
Schedule III-V
Don'ts
- As per DEA requirements,
do not ship Schedule III-V products without first inventorying the products
Shipping Do's
- Seal all the seams
on both the bottom and top of the boxes
- Pack all items
securely to guard against breakage
- Verify all return
address information is correct
- Ship all of your
boxes at the same time
- Call your Pharma
Logistics account representative with any questions prior to shipping
- Verify that your
customer code appears on the UPS ARS label
Shipping Don'ts
- Do not use masking
tape to seal your boxes; it will not hold during transit
- Do not place address
label over the seams
